Indeed Dell . . . . sad news indeed, always had a sneaking regard for him and he was a fellow curmudgeon and uncompromising bloke but always seemed great fun to actually know (hence his eventual friendship with fellow man from Middlesborough , the extraordinary Bob Mortimer!) Alex’ obituary says it all I thought
