Really unsure about last night's showing of the Amy Winehouse film, 'Amy'. So upsetting, distressful and harrowing and maybe it was intended to be. Still haunted by mixed feelings about the making (and the makers) of it. Car crash TV made by shots taken by ambulance chasers! Was it meant to be a cautionary tale about drugs and addiction, a warning about the media and what we all do to talent i.e. hound it to death? Still struggle with feelings about those who introduce others to crack cocaine and heroin. Contemptible! Still if nothing else it has made me listen to 'Frank', 'Back to Black' and a wonderful recording I have a live bootleg from Norway back in 2007. I also felt her closest gal pals and first manager came out of it well but I was troubled by the way Mitch her dad is portrayed and the feedback from trolls about her parenting online is horrific.
Wonderful talent, in her prime a true talented star. . . . .sorely missed.
