another in the occasional series of singles that I bought when they came out and still have . . . . . . this one a perennial classic from The Kinks. Curiously though it was the last one I bought and I didn't buy the album. Two mates were really keen but the overall album began to leave me cold. I do remember hating 'Silence is Golden' by The Tremolos which was number one at the time and feeling despondent as 'Waterloo Sunset failed to chart at all . . . . . . .
