Mike Nesmith Monkee (it's his name!) was prolly the first one we sussed as having other things to say and that could play (and sing . . . ) and the others we took a bit longer. Davy always cutesy schmaltzy but had Brit theatre creds right? Tork for sure had credits for singing and playing with other folk (he even sang with my ex-boss Katie B years ago from the Pomegranate Inc crew! Fer shur!) and we were never QUITE sure about Mickey D but hey . . . . . Mike clearly had a sardonic edge to playing the mock Beatle
