Now the Faces meant a great deal to me too and I went through a phase of really being into them and recall hitching to Leicester Poly to see them with my old friend Sarah Harris from Eynsham and Witney College days . . . . . . we loved that band. They came on to no announcement in Leicester just Rod saying "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Matteus Rosé Ltd! Now here's a number you may not know it and if you don't know it I really don't know were ya BIN?!" straight into McCartney's 'Maybe I'm Amazed! . . . . . . . Bliss but we dug Ronnie most somehow and once he had gone we left that nonsense behind too . . . . . . . .
