From the legendary Big Pink to where Captain Beefheeart 'taught' or practised the Magic Band to Elvis Presley's birthplace we are fascinated by where our heroes have lived . . . . . . . .starting with notes from John 'Drumbo' French the most consistent and brilliant of Don Van Vliet's Magic Band drummers who says:

"In late winter of 1967, Don Van Vliet, his girlfriend Laurie Stone, Jeff Cotton and I moved into this little place in Woodland Hills.  I was standing in front of the house where we later lived when Trout Mask Replica was created."
