First wife Mary

A young Robert Frank

“… with one hand he sucked a sad poem out of America onto film.” – Jack Kerouac
from the introduction of Robert Frank’s “The Americans” (1959)

He photographed London and the UK too

not to mention the Rolling Stones legendary film 'C***Sucker Blues' which puts Pennebaker's 'Don't Look Now' into the shade somehow, less compromising and therefore almost unbroadcastable and as frank by name as frank by nature  . . . . . .

Exiles on Main Street - The Rolling Stones -with cover by Robert Frank

his later work was more expressive and self exploratory

There won't be another one . . . . . . .
