I love the story about playing the Sullivan show having been brow beaten to change the lyrics from "girl we couldn't get much higher" and Jim agreed played live and went ahead and said 'higher' anyway. Ed Sullivan is said to have been incandescent with rage and said 'You will never play the Sullivan Show again!' and Jim is said to have smirked back and said
"We just did it!"
