"Great British Instrumentals Of The '50s & '60s" - disc 1 & 2 & 3 TWILIGHTZONE

AND THE HITS JUST KEEP RIGHT ON COMING!!

As regular visitor (yeah, I got regulars now!) Diamond Dave tells us "Hey Andy, as I know you love this stuff, did you know Matt Bellamy (Muse) his dad was guitarist on Telstar by The Tornados back in 1960s?"

Well what d'ya know, DiamondDave here's Telstar! These are such fun and Telstar prolly the best known but there are gems like 'Walk Don't Run' covered by the John Barry 7! The hysterical Rockin'; Susannah' by the legend that was Arthur Greenslade & The Gee-Men even Wee Willie Harris' bizarre 'Got a Match?' but also gems like 'Chaquita' by The Dave Clark Five and The Shadows early hit 'The Savage' and of course a reemergence of our Bert and 'Guitar Boogie Shuffle'!

As RYP notes:

Before the Beatles ushered in the beat revolution, the British pop scene reverberated to a tidal wave of home-grown instrumental music. However the golden age of the instrumental was destined to wither as quickly as it had bloomed, yet British rock owed much to its wordless past. This excellent 3 disc compilation includes tracks such as "Telstar", "F.B.I." and "Sleepwalk" and aptly plays out with At The Sign Of The Swingin Cymbal by Brian Fahey & his Orchestra, the original 1960 version of the chart rundown tune for BBC Radio s Pick Of The Pops. If you’ve got that far, we guarantee you’ve enjoyed 60 of the greatest instrumentals British popular music has to offer. (Record Runner)

Enjoy!

I did!!!
