JOAN ARMATRADING - LONDON 1977 - Big O

 Now I thought I had this one* but I can't find it in the vaults but it is really listenable and a memorable set from Joan live at the Hammersmith Odeon way back when she was in her prime. Every track rings out like a collective memory and these are all really great numbers. You can tell I love this ROIO!

It's over at Big O so the usual caveat to avoid the comments section which is still full of the most disgusting racism and sexist tripe dominated by trolls. They still manage to promote brilliant ROIOs of the kind usually found at Dime and the like.

* we have had it before from soundaboard  . . . . .

I kept it up here just because it is so good!

If you want cheering up on a Tuesday this will do it. Armatrading is nothing if not engaging with the London audience and tells jokes and anecdotes between songs and is a delight. She must have felt right at home at the Odeon she played there so much. The band are tight and the lead guitar from Jerry Donahue is little short of exceptional - if you don't believe me then check the first track . . . . lovely stuff
