The Who: Live At Leeds (2 CD Deluxe Edition) 2002 | URBANASPIRINES

As we noted and by sheer coincidence is the double disc deluxe editor of The Who Live at Leeds. Now most of us fans probably have the super deluxe edition with its four disc release now long out of print as is the double deluxe

The original single album is still readily available and I would encourage fans to by that as well!

THe Who Live at Leeds Double CD Deluxe edition - Urbanaspirines

It’s legendary status is explored as ever by the erudite Kostas over at Urbanaspirines and it is a good read as always some folks even stating it was the best live rock and roll live album ever!

He starts by telling us:

Live at Leeds is the first live album by English rock band The Who. It was recorded at the University of Leeds Refectory on 14 February 1970, and is their only live album that was released while the group were still actively recording and performing with their best-known line-up of Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon.
