"John Sebastian 1969 - Back to Back - #1: John Sebastian wasn't scheduled to perform at Woodstock in 1969, but he went to the festival as a spectator. When rain played havoc with the schedule and staging however, the festival organizers asked Sebastian to perform an acoustic set while they cleared water off the stage in order to set up the amps for Santana. Sebastian's Woodstock set consisted of 3 songs from his recorded but not yet released John B. Sebastian album (How Have You Been, I Had A Dream", and "Rainbows All Over Your Blues) and 2 Lovin' Spoonful songs (Darling Be Home Soon and "Younger Generation). Two months latEr, Sebastian played the Fillmore West, and featured many of the same tunes in his set list. This sounboard recording captures his first night in San Francisco, on October 4, 1969, 54 years afo today, Download this onem, then come back tomorrow for the 2nd half of this Back to Back Set."
