Brian Eno – new radio show, songwriting course and book! Eno – new songwriting course in January

Brian Eno will be the guest lecturer at the highly regarded online School of Song songwriting course in January. School of Song is a songwriting school that offers month-long creative courses with acclaimed artists (Adrianne Lenker, Robin Pecknold and Laraaji and many others). School of Song’s courses take place online in a live, participatory setting, where guest lecturers interact with students, break down the creative process and develop ideas and approaches to creating material in real time together. Brian’s lectures will take place every Sunday in January at UK 8:00 pm / EST 3:00 pm / PST midday. These will be supported by question and answer sessions at the same times on January 8th, 15th and 22nd. Across these seven sessions, Brian will guide students through his multifaceted relationship to the creative process, sharing techniques and approaches that he has developed throughout his career. Topics will include ‘The Role of Surrender’, ‘Avant Gardening’, ‘Creating a Compelling Sonic World’, ‘Oblique Strategies’, ‘Should Music still be called Music’, among many other themes that will explore these ideas. “I’m looking forward to the chance to properly articulate some ideas about the creative process that have been fermenting over the last 50 years.
