Radio Radical was the name of a station in Mexico City back in the day that ONLY played techno. The cab drivers loved it! Just goes to show that we shouldn’t make any assumptions about Latin music. This playlist is proof... It’s full of radical experimentation that is also gorgeous, roots and rhythms that are massively popular (anyone heard of Bad Bunny or Peso Pluma?), and evocative electronic vibes. What’s happening in the Latin music world is, IMO, incredibly exciting.
