I was recalling this old Folk song from my Merseyside roots and hearing someone (my mother? my maternal grandma? possibly even my dad curiously - he did enjoy the occasional vaudeville tune! his favourite being The Old Sow: Susannah's a Funicle Man!! yes really! ) someone singing this one and I recalled it being used in Ricky Gervais’ ‘Derek’ where he has it sung by a little old lady, 'Lizzie’ in the Care Home
