Little Feat - Live Ultrasonic Studios Hempstead, NY. [September 19, 1974] | Voodoo Wagon A SILENT WAY SPECIAL

Little Feat - Live Hempstead, NY. 1974

Now the Boss at HQ ( Floppy Boot Stomp and Voodooo Wagon here)  quotes Sky Dog
here with an interetsing one. Why is it that I don't really care for Lowell George?!
I like slide guitarists from his friends Ry Cooder and Bonnie Raitt to Lowell not so much
and I am really not sure why!
Let's all downlad this one and help me find out why!?
If you like him, download it anyway!

Thanks to  the unknown taper!

"This is ridiculously great! This recording presents them at their peak. Little Feat has one of the greatest rhythm sections ever. The sound quality is great and the performance is outstanding! Check out The Fan, Fat Man In The Bath Tub or Spanish Moon at least.
Why Little Feat isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame is a mystery to me. They induct people like John Mellencamp, The Ventures and The Dave Clark Five this year, and still no Little Feat? Where is the love?"

"I thought we had put this up long ago but I was wrong again as usual!"

Yo Andy, now you know I love my Feat. And you know my love for Lowell too. I can't understand why people don't rate him on slide - I suppose he was never a quick or flash slide player, just nice and subtle as on this one. This WT session was reputedly done around 10am or something similar, which is why ol' Lowell looks tired, bless him! And if you need anymore Lowell, just check his playing on this cracker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzicv2cmwac from about 8:15 onwards he just about kills it!! Come on, y'know you wanna!! Keep up the great work. DD
