"At the Oasis reunion gigs at Wembley this summer, four pints of Budweiser were priced at £28.50. But things had calmed down slightly by the time the Gallaghers got to Melbourne late last month. There, you could pick up a pair of tickets for £27 each. Less than a round. "

Who the hell drinks Budweiser? Especially in excess of £7.10 a pint!!!! Jeeziz, what is the world coming to (this from a man who paid £7 for a pint off Guinness recently!). Keep up the great work neighbour. DD (and that does not stand for Double Diamond)

I know right!? £7 for a Guinness?! OMG! I can recall the time when the price of a pint was due to go up and I said to myself well if it goes up to a £1 per pint I am stopping drinking!! (seriously I am THAT old!) I didn’t . . . but I do now! £7?!!? sheesh!

£1 a pint, those were the days (why isn't she on your babe list??)
Don't know about you, but sitting through an Oasis gig AND drinking Bud at £7.10/pint would make me seriously ill!!!!
We saw them at MK Bowl back in 90's - my sons' birthday treat - and they were bang average at best. Keep going neighbour. DD

Thanks Dave, I feel ya brother . . . despite family roots in that there Mancunian land I have never been a fan . . . . they were described on last night’s Have I Got News for You as “Neanderthals" so it is in public parlance that they are quite lacking in gorm (sic!) and that is about right it would seem . . . . . (Noel maybe not quite so much mebbe?!)
