Taste - Sugar Mama [Live At The Isle Of Wight 1970]

I was there but somehow . . . . . . . . (ahem!) . . . . . . . I don’t have any memory of this!
Shameful admission . . . . . . no.137

And he was only 22 when they did this!!! Unbelievable. And you missed it?!?!?! Hopefully you saw Jimi, didn't you???? I remember an older boy getting onto our school bus with Taste Live tucked under his arm. I asked who it was, and he said I was too young to appreciate it, and wouldn't even let me see the cover. He went on to play it in our common room that day, and it blew me away. Went and bought it that week. Brilliant stuff.
Talking of being at festivals, did you go to this one? I did, and can't remember too much about it - it's hidden in the left hand side of my memory bank! - but this is really good. Well worth a listen I think. https://intmusic.net/300376/the-who-live-at-the-oval-1971-2025

Keep up the great work Andy. Cheers DD

LOOOOOOOONG story, Dave. Another time over pint! The Who at The Oval I think I mentioned somewhere and I was there all day and regale everyone with the tale of being hit on the head towards the end of The Who set with a (7 pint) pipkin of beer (empty) and it making no discernible difference whatsoever! [some might argue otherwise!] I remember being particularly inspired by Quintessence but boy that crowd was strangely smoky! Thanks as also for dropping by Dave you know it’s appreciated! Will check out the link toot sweet!
