Headington Shark Oxford [

 It is the anniversary of my friend American born, Bill Heine’s statement of a shark through his roof (a sculpture by local artist John Buckley) in protest about Hiroshima (go figure) that became something of a landmark locally if not further afield. I met Bill a local radio broadcaster and character about town through MOMA Oxford and he attended many of local photographer Paddy Summerfield's garden parties and we always got on. He started a local cinema too up off the Cowley Road in the heart of Oxford’s multicultural heartland the Penultimate Picture Palace ( and later the Moulin Rouge as well)

Since Bill sadly died in 2019 it has became an Air BnB owned by Bill’s son Magnus so you can stay there if you come!
