I have said before what an effect this album had upon me when my brother Steve brought it home that year bought on import and with a damaged cover but he took it anyway. I knew something was going on . . . .these songs still mean something extraordinary to me from Hollis Brown to Hattie Carroll, Boots of Spanish Leather (still a favourite) With God On Our Side and of course the moment I heard the title track life would never be the same again
