The Beatles - Oh Darling! | The Beatles 'Get Back' the movie

It was said John Lennon wanted to sing this song written by Paul. He felt it was more his style, but since McCartney wrote it, it was his decision.

THE NEWS - 'THE BEATLES GET BACK' FILM, Dylan Shadow Kingdom, Dylan plays live concert gig, Joni Mitchell 'Blue' makes 50 years old

DISNEY+ CONFIRMS IT WILL PREMIERE BEATLES' GET BACK FILM

Peter Jackson's documentary 'The Beatles: Get Back' has received a premiere date and streaming platform. It will arrive this November, initially exclusive to Disney's streaming service Disney+. Said Jackson: "I'm very grateful to The Beatles, Apple Corps and Disney for allowing me to present this story in exactly the way it should be told. I've been immersed in this project for nearly three years, and I'm very excited that audiences around the world will finally be able to see it." The new 'Get Back' will be a three-episode mini series which is over six hours in length.

Bob Iger, Disney's executive chairman, added: "As a huge Beatles fan myself, I am absolutely thrilled that Disney+ will be the home for this extraordinary documentary series by the legendary filmmaker Peter Jackson. This phenomenal collection of never-before-seen footage offers an unprecedented look at the close camaraderie, genius songwriting, and indelible impact of one of the most iconic and culturally influential bands of all time, and we can't wait to share 'The Beatles: Get Back' with fans around the world."

THIS WEEK'S WTF MOMENT

BIGFOOT COSTUME MADE FROM PUBIC HAIR??!!

Not enough to fill a sandwich bag.

Publicity stunt or not - Jackass star Steve-O posted an appeal on social media recently for men to donate their pubic hair. He revealed that he had been on a mission over the last two years to create the Sasquatch suit by shaving his own pubic hair. But it's not enough. Last week, many answered his call - with footage shared by TMZ showing a raft of volunteers having their intimate areas shaved by Steve-O. "So many dudes have broken out their weiners... and I'm like, my dick is pretty sweet," the Jackass star said at one point, going on to shave some other rather intimate areas of some men including armpits.

Watch the video here.

COLLECTING DUST

  'BLUE', THE DEMOS
Joni Mitchell has released a new demos and outtakes EP to celebrate the 50th anniversary of her classic album 'Blue'. Released on June 22, 1971, 'Blue' is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time. It explores various facets of relationships following the iconic musician's breakup with Graham Nash. On June 21, Rhino released 'Blue 50 (Demos & Outtakes)', a digital EP that debuts five unreleased recordings from the making of the original LP that will also appear on an upcoming archives collection. The EP includes demos for 'California' and an early version of 'A Case Of You' that features different lyrics from those heard on the final album. There are also two alternate takes on the EP. The first being a version of 'River' that adds French horns, unlike the album version, which features Mitchell solo on piano. The other alternate take is for 'Urge For Going'. The final unreleased song included on 'Blue 50' is a studio recording for 'Hunter', another song that was cut from 'Blue' at the last minute that Mitchell later performed live but never officially released on an album.

More Joni Mitchel News (or Fag Ash Lil as we call her) Only Mitchell could still be chain-smoking believing it is radical and a revolutionary stance of the rebel to paying American Tobacco for her addiction to nicotine!

Meanwhile, 'Joni Mitchell Archives Vol 2: The Reprise Albums (1968-1971)' will be released on 29 October 2021. It's a 5CD box set. The 10 LP box set version is limited to 4,000 copies worldwide.

BBC RADIO 4 CELEBRATES 50th ANNIVERSARY OF JONI MITCHELL'S BLUE

Laura Marling has narrated a new audio documentary about Joni Mitchell for BBC Radio 4. The singer voiced 'Blue: Pain And Pleasure' to mark the 50th anniversary of Mitchell's seminal album 'Blue'. The documentary, which aired June 17, sees Marling telling the story behind the writing and recording of the 1971 LP.Mitchell says she is pleased after 50 years that people finally "
get it" . . . oh, Joni we got it, its not THAT deep! No really

Mitchell's last album was released in 2007 and last toured playing live in 2000

About Me

My photo
Andy Swapp
These pages are where since 2006 I come to largely share some musical references to the blogosphere (other music bloggers). I search a large number of sources daily for ROIOs and what we used to call bootlegs, (not official albums faked by charlatans to sell but live recording and concerts that would not be published anywhere else) and I post links to an eclectic bunch of musicians so that I hope it has broad appeal. I do NOT feature sites that charge money for any of this and if these change ever please let me know and I will delete them. It is not my intention to do anything other than share links to sites featuring ROIOs and I do not house any files myself here, This is my idea of musical fun and to relieve the stresses of daily life I also share links to articles, pictures, art or photography as was my background and training and first degree (Fine Art). Those that I have enjoyed or mean something to me and interspersed with occasional general ramblings on the world around me!
