The Raphaels - Supernatural

 The Raphaels - Supernatural

thanks to Jobe . . . . .

Stuart Adamson’s last band before his tragic and untimely death the founder guitar and singer of The Skids and his own Big Country

Early fans of Stuart we had a signed cope of his Big Country debut

I hadn’t heard this band incarnation and maybe we had left him behind after Big Country but it is really worth a listen and I thank my brother from another mother, Jobe over at Voodoo Wagon for the album

The Skids LIVE AT THE MARQUEE London UK 1978 - VOODOO WAGON

 THE SKIDS

I saw the Skids live and then later when guitarist Stuart Adamson left to form the trio Big Country and I have a signed album and 12" single of the period after Jobson and Adamson had unresolved musical differences the new band went on to have top pop success but Adamson struggled all his life with alcoholism and after a period of ten years sobriety was found in 2001 in a hotel in Hawaii having hung himself and his post mortem revealed he had consumed a "large quantity of alcohol". He was a fine innovative guitarist and strong singer and he will be missed

Jobson hanging from the mike and Adamson in mid air!
