BATMAN RETURNS
1992, dir. Tim Burton

I never tire of posting Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman (mostly for my dear pal Phil! who pointed out the performance to me and whos obsession I shared ever since as we were in thrall to the role)! I always enjoyed telling Michelle's anecdote about learning to crack the whip ( she could really use it and did the scene whipping heads off mannequins in one take and for real) and off course we mused that she had 18 versions of her Catwoman costume and that she had to be hand sewn into every time ( if ever there was a keener two desirous to change our jobs it was us! Why I can sew! I SWEAR!

Kelly Boesch - My Mind’s In The Future

 well that sound about right . . . . . . music for a Friday winding down for the weekend . . . . . . .

Kelly says:
I made these images and found them so interesting. They have this futuristic feel as the people almost feel like androids in some scenes. But the clothing and background has a very old feel. I dig the juxtaposition. That’s where I got the idea for the song lyrics. Part future part past. It’s also a take on not being in the moment and thinking about the future. Which normally can cause anxiety...unless you are daydreaming of cool things that may come to be :-) I also found it interesting that it seems the people in these scenes are talking telepathically, and sometimes fire appears. And can we talk about the fashion and prints. Even on the furniture. Stunning. AI can be so weird and cool. "
My Mind’s In The Future
[Verse] We were friends but only in the dream If you think too hard you’ll know what I mean I can hear you breathing and it’s all I see Take me to the place I can finally sleep Are you comin’ with me?
[Chorus] And my mind’s in the future But my body’s in the past Yeah My mind’s in the future But my body’s in the past I don’t want to go back Let’s make this moment last
[Verse 2] We are meant to live in time but we can’t Your heart’s right here but I see where it went If we live forever we will just pretend Maybe there’s a place where we can meet again Will you meet me then?
[Chorus] ‘Cause my mind’s in the future But my body’s in the past Yeah My mind’s in the future But my body’s in the past I don’t want to go back Let’s make this moment last
[Bridge] Where can I find you? Tell me
[Chorus] And my mind’s in the future But my body’s in the past Yeah
