THE DOORS perform "WILD CHILD" on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, filmed Dec. 6, 1968, & broadcast Dec. 15.The instrumental backup was a playback mix from the B-side of their new single, but Jim Morrison's vocals were performed live at the show.For this number (they also performed the A-side of the single, "Touch Me", with big brass & string sections onstage), the producers placed the other band members in the shadows, possibly to hide Robby Krieger's black eye, which came from a bad car accident some days prior.
