Live on the BBC 2 last night was Strong Language Live! introduced by Simon Armitage part of BBC's Contains Strong Language festival, from the celebrations for Hull UK City of Culture 2017 (no it doesn't feature the dreadful Philip Larkin) but does feature the wonderful Zena Edwards who really struck me with her piece from the ongoing Fury Project about Addi a little older lady she found begging outside Hamly's in Regent Street . . . . . wonderful stuff and only there for a month so catch it whilst you can. It also features an extraordinary 19 year old young man  Isaiah Hull I had to attune too for a moment [some of these new poets scare me!] but it was really worth it! Simon also reads one of his which I always enjoy.
