The Rebeccas - Do You Believe me NOW? (Becky Hill & Self Esteem collaborate)

Becky Hill & Self Esteem Interview - GLAMOUR magazine May 2024

Now this is really worth checking out and a read about either [and both] artists will reap great rewards . . . . .

Now I really like Self Esteem (Rebecca Lucy Taylor) who I think I first discovered on the Graham Norton show with a blistering performance there. Hill I don’t know but they share common ground explored here and warning this article discusses issues around sexual abuse and violence against women.
Hill’s new single from her latest album is True Colours

Becky Hill feat. Self Esteem - True Colours

The voice was always there. From her 'Losing' EP a decade ago to her 2017 follow-up 'Eko' to her 'Get To Know' compilation a couple years later, whenever you heard Becky Hill in action, you knew immediately it was her. The clarion powers of her vocals have been a calling card ever since she was part of Jesse J's team on 'The Voice UK.' It all took off fast from there, and once she and Oliver Heldens topped the UK Singles chart with "Gecko (Overdrive)," there was no turning back. Happily, it's not just the siren-strength vocals stopping you cold when Hill hits overdrive. One of the reasons she and her dance music producers can be such effective collaborators is because she has a rasp, a catch, a vulnerability in her voice. It brings a human aspect to all those electronics, and furthers a track's dynamics. That list of collabs grows with each new month. Chase & Status, Singala, Wilkinson, Tiƫsto, Galantis, Rudimental, and of course David Guetta have been part of the parade. With her 'Believe Me Now?' project dropping on May 31, we invited Hill into the studio with her pal Self-Esteem, a string trio, and backing vocalists. Wanna talk power? Here it is. SELF ESTEEM ON GRAHAM NORTON SHOW 17th October 2022

I know it was a while ago now but largely because I said I would and I always try to keep my promises here is Self Esteem [Rebecca Lucy Taylor, 36] singing her new single 'F***ing Wizardry"! I loved this version and the lighting and the band and especially the outfits . . . . . . . . !

ARTIST & SONG OF THE WEEK :: SELF ESTEEM - WIZARDRY

Rebecca, [Self Esteem is Rebecca Lucy Taylor] for it is she, was on Graham Norton last night and made me sit up in my armchair . . . .

 . . . . . . . . . . . here she is on Jools Holland and hopefully the Graham Norton clip will be available soon

WARNING: CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE

Amongst the fashionistas and prime guests, I had tuned in to see Colin Farrell  and Brendan Gleeson talking about their new film The Banshees of Inisherin which looks dark as dark can be, but sat through Elizabeth Banks and Kate Hudson with Vogue editor in chief Edward Enninful who were all fascinating and I thought I knew Elizabeth but seem to have mistaken her for somebody else and she is too too painfully thin IMHO but there speaks an overweight old geezer!

Simply Self Esteem blew me away . . . . I thought I knew what I was in for but the chorus and lyrics hit me for six even the lighting set up made me take notice and the follow up mini chat/interview she seemed delightful! Funny, edgy and bright!
