Watched the Scorsese George Harrison film 'Living In The Material World' again on tele last night and it never fails to move me. The Beatles, as a group and individually, are very difficult for me to talk about, to put succinctly into words what I feel about them, like brothers we grew up together and we mourn(ed) their passing when John & George died. We loved each individually and appreciated the musical journey they took, and take, us on as a band. Thought I might post a compilation of George bootleg tracks
We miss you little brother George, ......well, I miss you.......(own it, ED) and we are all the poorer for your passing, a light went out and that you are no longer in this material world saddens me but at least we have your music, both solo and your inestimable contribution to the Beatles music too............

Looking forward to listening to this, thanks. George was the only Beatle I bought solo stuff by and I think it was the finale..."Brainwashed" that I liked best. I was introduced to it by our old friend Bruce!!
Blimey that's some admission! I think I bought everything McCartney and all of Ringo too! John to me seemed the more lost without the boys for me. But just re-visiting my George obsession and well, 'love' really, a difficult edgy Northerner at times, he didn't suffer fools but then neither did John. That he did all things with love and wasn't ashamed to admit it drove his passion with tenacity, uncompromising sincerity and truth! [sheeesh!] but an enduring sense of fun too
Hope you enjoy the compilation. I enjoyed collecting it together. The Concert for George clips on Youtube are very special
Cheers Dave......

Thanks for this, Andy. Good to have this stuff in one place. Came across this story recently ...
The Beatles lived in very cramped conditions in Hamburg. When George (the youngest Beatle, of course) lost his virginity in the room they all shared, the other members of the group were in the room at the time and rewarded George with a short round of applause. I haven't yet decided if I really wanted to know this...
