On this month in 2006, Bob Dylan debuted "Theme Time Radio Hour," a genre-defying, hour-long show on XM Satellite Radio that found Dylan relishing his role as a late-night DJ. Over the course of 100 episodes, Dylan guided listeners through eclectic playlists centered around weekly themes — from “Baseball” and “Death & Taxes” to “Thanksgiving Leftovers” — blending blues, punk, rocksteady, hip hop, honky tonk and beyond
I also am endebted to (and happily discovered) a fellow muso in Patrick ‘Cros’ Crosley who made the entire TTRH collection available to people not least those who did not have access to the XM Satellite radio station that originally broadcast Bob’s Radio show and we shared a long relationship exchanging music and knowledge but he has rather gone to ground in recent years and asked for privacy and no contact from loads of us but we relished his work and indeed his own personal musicianship. Not the easiest cove to rub along with ( I relate - a fellow curmudgeon!?) and we miss him
I own all the editions of Bobby’s radio broadcast thanks entirely to the legendary Croz - if you are out there dude we acknowledge this and are indebted sirrah!
