Emily Barker Blog III - LONELINESS . . . .

The wonderment that is Emily Barker has checked in with her third episode of her new blog about a subject that remains worthy of all our exploration and especially of our tackling head on - loneliness

Hello

I've just finished my third blog post and for this one I've turned my attention to Loneliness - track number 4 on my album Fragile as Humans.

I started writing this blog, as you will read, at LAX airport but only just got to finishing it a couple of days ago - I generally go through at least five drafts before hitting the send button. I keep a piece of paper and pen by the side of the bed for when I wake up at night having dreamt of an edit. I do the same thing when I'm writing songs or poems - there's something about that sleepy state that can inform writing.

After you've read it, if you'd like to respond - perhaps tell me about your 'shared purpose' or purposes, then simply reply to this email and it'll come to me (though it might take me a moment to respond).

Hope you're keeping well and connected.

Do avail yourselves if you feel it. it is a special piece of writing and goes right to the ‘heart’ of the difference between solitude and loneliness . . . . . .

I share this drawing here to entice you to understand . . . in the unlikely even of Emily dropping by she would understand . . . . . a friend’s hand . . . . . and mine
