Alan White (Pelton, England, June 14, 1949 - Seattle, United States, May 26, 2022) - YES 2001::FRESH & ALIVE

Alan White (Pelton, England, June 14, 1949 - Seattle, United States, May 26, 2022)  member of Yes (drummer) from 1972 until his death in 2022.

 In 1972 he replaced the then Yes drummer Bill Bruford.

I liked Yes from the first album on but once this line up dissolved I was less interested, the combination of Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White on drums made this the finest contemporary progressive rock bands of all time . . . . . plus they always used the wonderful Roger Dean on artwork ( one of the nicest men I ever met . . . . . .we had him come to my bookshop for a signing and he was a delight, the crowd full of freaks and the weirdest followers! Hah!)
