Rockpile : 'Sweet Little Lisa” 1979 | Telecaster Group (Facebook)

Sometimes the Brits can rock it like it’s Country!

Albert Lee was invited by Dave Edmunds on "Sweet Little Lisa" in 1979, for studio sessions.

Check the the faces of Edmunds & fellow Rockpile members (Billy Bremner, Terry Williams, Nick Lowe) Phil Lynott, Huey Lewis, Graham Parker were there too!
They couldn't believe their ears...clearly

Ricky Skaggs and (Guitar Hero - yes ANOTHER one) Albert Lee - Country Boy

Again some kind soul reminded me of this and posted a little clip of the guitar solo from Albert here (he’s a Brit tha knows) on that dread Flackennabokk but , . . . . what IS it with this clips? . . . . . "short little span of attention" . . . . . here’s the whole thing!  The clip misses out on what a fine fine guitarist Ricky is . . . . .

GUITARS : Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan - ‘Stormy Monday’

Go on click it anyway . . . . . .it will play I swear!

Albert King & Stevie Ray Vaughan - Stormy Monday
Two favourites and a favourite song first bought at 13 years old (precocious little freak that I was! ) by Chris Farlowe ( as Little Joe Cook featuring a young Albert Lee on guitar)
Check how Albert plays his guitar here and how it’s strung (if you didn’t know!?) . . . . only Jimi could do that in my experience but hey well he could play it either way up to be fair and was truly ambidextrous and not left handed as many assumed  . . . . . . . this with Albert is strung the right way but played left handed and therefore upside down !!!!
