Faeland New Album | When I Close My Eyes

Faeland have a new album out . . . . Rebecca and Jacob are from just down the road (Stroud in Gloucestershire where Emily Barker lived for so long  . . . I must ask her / they / them if their paths crossed!?) and I have purchased their last three albums as they have a unique and gentle folk sound that soothes . . . I find

They say:

"For a short time we're giving away our new album for FREE via a unique 10-day album "experience". Lyrics:
On an evening of normal At the end of the day We had done all our talking The rack was drying our plates In a moment of stillness Your hands sang the chords that we play I know your words are not many Your hands sing more than you say Then you sang...lye lye lye… So I've taken your music I hope that you do not mind It's just that chorus - it moved me Words I've been longing to find Songs are many and varied Can take an age to create I love how something so simple Can be all that it takes Can be all that it takes We sang... lye lye lye… On an evening of normal At the end of the day Copyright notice: "End of the Day" Copyright © 2020 Rebecca Nelson & Jacob Morrison Ⓟ 2020 Rebecca Nelson & Jacob Morrison. https://faeland.co.uk

SONG/ALBUM/BAND of The WEEK :: FAELAND - We're Just a Love Song [Official Video] +

I found these two via Facebook and played this song which took me to links to buy their new album All My Swim for free (just the p&p) and added their last album as this song struck me so calming and haunting . . . . .

Are we pretending
That these hearts beat so far apart?
It’s been so long
Are you still the one
I gave forevers to from the start?
And why when the room is full
Or when silence drapes these walls
Does it every time
Rain down with thoughts of you?
Well that’s by by the way
(By by the wayside by by the wayside)
That’s all by by the way
Now we’re just a love song
A story so sad
Lost in a reverie
Of what we had
And so you’ll live in these song lines
And bohemia weeps
As we sing so sincerely
Of things we never speak
We were moving out of time
Singing so fast along
Forgot the other one
Still I learnt your song by heart
Cherished verses in the dark
I didn’t think they’d etch out such a mark
So that’s why when I feel so free
So big, so ridden of belief
That I find myself singing you back to me
Well that’s by by the way
(By by the wayside by by the wayside)
That’s all by by the way
Now we’re just a love song
A story so sad
Lost in a reverie
Of what we had
And so you’ll live in these song lines
And bohemia weeps
As we sing so sincerely
Of things we never
Never never never never speak

SILENT STORY

LYRICS
Climb to the Northern Star
Swim to the south
It’s about changing the scenery
Moving furniture about
Nothing drowned out a melody
There’s not enough drops
But you say everything’s ok hun
That’s where the conversation stops
A child that explored so far
Swam through the night
Now you’re sailing for everyone
Holding onto journeys tight
Oh you can sing any song that you can make
We can sing any song that you can take
You with your silent story
You with your silent story
She’s taking the hemispheres
Changing today
Trying to start a new anywhere
But make it not yesterday
It might be about family
It’ll keep you afloat
But you find it’s the same everywhere
You’re the same everywhere you go
Oh you with your silent story
You with your silent story
Oh you with your silent story
Oh you with your silent story
And the days you come undone
I know you fear your web unspun
And when my hands may feel afar
It’s not for a lack of love
We can sing any song that you make
We can any song that you can take.
