Do you remember how we were talking about female bass players!? You know after I went banging on about Tal Wilkenfeld with Jeff Beck and we sought out other women bassists?

Well here’s another . . . . .  . . . . . she IS Mohini Dey

 Just because this popped up in my Facebook feed there is this . . . . . the mighty Jeff Beck with his friend and regally bass stalwart at the time, Tal Wilkenfeld [Tal first played with Jeff at 19 and is now 37 or so and this was posted 14 years ago so you do the mathematics I figure she is in her twenties still here] We love Tal; an awesome bass player and we miss of course our Jeff . . . . . . the best

Guitar legend and my choice of best guitarist in the world Mr Jeff Beck dies aged 78 

Perhaps the greatest and certainly one of the best guitarists of all time, Jeff Beck has died aged 78

“On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing.

“After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday.

“His family ask for privacy while they process this tremendous loss.”

Rest easy now Jeff

Having written the part on bass Jeff swished to guitar for the solo and intro riff as remembered by drummer Jim McCarty
