Vol 6 this morning (of course) and Kostas is really looking at the women radicals and no mistake from Polly Jean Harvey to Björk (again, here with The Sugarcubes) ) gals I really like with Kim Gordon, Justine Frischmann, Florence and The Machine and the tragic loss of Dolores O’Riordan of The Cranberries and of course nothing wrong with that . . . . . . .yet still he manages to cover more mainstream artist like Tracy Chapman, KT Tunstall, Cheryl Crow and the currently ubiquitous Kate Bush. This balanced as ever by a few bands and women artists we haven’t necessarily heard of like The Velez sisters (The Warning), Alison Mosshart, members of Slant 6, Orenda Fink and Maria Taylor to name but a few.
