Brian Eno with The Metropole Orkest Amsterdam 20 - June -1999 :: FLOPPY BOOT STOMP

FLOPPY BOOT STOMP

Brian Eno with Metropole Orkest - The Netherlands - FLOPPY BOOT STOMP

This is a rare treat and fine bright recording from Brother Jobe over at Boot HQ he says

The Netherlands based Metropole Orkest teamed up with Eno and played two performances of this music in June 1999 at the Holland festival. The first of these was recorded live on Dutch radio, and it is this recording featured on this disc. The music differs hugely from what was officially released.
'FROM A LIVE FM BROADCAST AT PARADISO GROTE ZAAL,
AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS, 20TH JUNE 1999.

Directed and conducted by
Dick Bakker

TOTAL RUN TIME 67 MINUTES

He is absolutely right and the orchestration here are truly fascinating tracks like the An Ending from 'Apollo' and 'Another Green World' from the album of the same name are vastly different here and yet still highly enjoyable. An Ending is nearly unrecognisable at first as the introduction starts but when the melody refrain hits and is quite unmistakable. Beautiful piece and a personal favourite so double fascinating here. It is mostly the entire 13th album from Brian the Shutov Assembly and the date issue is funny (to me!) and the date is definitely June 20th 1999

It is listed as 2020 but most have it at 1999 and the cover has it as 1996 which is just plain wrong!
