Filmed at the psychedelic power trio's first public appearance with their new lineup at The Colony Woodstock NY on the coldest night of the year (Dec. 12th 2024), Gary Lucas & Gods and Monsters raised the temperature in the room and then some with an incendiary set featuring Calvin Weston drums (Ornette Coleman, James Blood Blood Ulner) and longtime G&M bassist Ernie Brooks (Modern Lovers, Arthur Russell). Here they perform a thunderous medley beginning with Gary's own "Poison Tree", followed by Miles Davis' Theme from "Jack Johnson" ("Right Off"), finishing with a heart-stopping version Suicide's "Ghost Rider". The crowd was ecstatic.
