54-40’s first EP, Selection (1982), finds them experimenting with different post-punk styles before settling into a more radio-friendly mode on subsequent releases. “Yank” has Joy Division DNA, replicating JD producer Martin Hannett’s distinctive snare drum sound:Let me know what you think in the comments . . . . . . !
