 (sorry!) , JD Vance has been enjoying a delightful holiday in the village of Charlbury the past week. Well, as delightful as it can be - because many of the locals clearly want him absolutely nowhere near the place.  (This village is just up the road from us and borders onto true Cotswold country)

Attempting to hide from protestors, the VP booked dinner at The Bull, the local gastropub. There was just one problem.  

The mutinous staff all said they wouldn’t come to work if they had to serve Vance and his wife. Facing staff grumbles and a barrage of negative press attention The Bull refused his patronage.

(The same pub had hosted Kamala Harris the week before, as part of the pre-wedding dinner for Steve Jobs’ daughter.)” [ahem!]

we even advertised the Vance holiday with mobile welcomes on the side of local transport

I mean it would be churlish (nay even childish) to share such misfortune and share such feelings with the world but what ya gonna do!?
