Remembered . . .this is a VOICE! And a story of abuse . . . . . .
A heartfelt peon to ending loneliness and just needing someone to dance with and a fine fine pop song . . . . . . form a queue gentlemen

THIS IS POP!

Born on this day: August 9, 1963 - Pop and R&B vocal legend Whitney Houston (born Whitney Elizabeth Houston in Newark, NJ). Happy Birthday to this icon on what would have been her 55th Birthday. Sad story and what this astonishing woman needed was someone to love and treat her right, which it seems difficult to accept that hardly anyone did! Least of all her male friends . . . . . .crack will do that to you. Her husband claiming it was she who introduced him to cocaine and not as long had been muted the other way around!
NOTE: The bright spark who realised you could cook up powder cocaine into smokable crystals whether using the rich mans ether or a microwave and pot of piss (really) and it intensifies the sensation of coke some 10-15 times but it lasts about 20 minutes so you do more in an hour than was previously thought possible needs to be taken outside and shot!! IMHO . . . .

I watched 'Waiting To Exhale' last night on the anniversary of her birth and it really is the most preposterous film. The acting is 90's nonsense (cocaine on set anyone?) and if you are really asking me to believe that Whitney Houston walks into a club looking like she did and no-one notices, not a turn of the head, nada, nuffing!? You are insane!
Here the breathtakingly beautiful Whitney at her soul soaring voiced best!

Young radiant and at her staggering peak

the fall . . .

falling . . . .

it's a long way down . . .

my colleagues from working with the homeless and addicted will recognise Whitney's bathroom
