Jeff Beck - Live in Italy 2010 - Floppy Boot Stomp
Jeff Beck has been an important bellweather artist somehow for me from his Hi Hi Silver Lining we all sang ( at school no less!) to his spell with The Yardbirds and his sojourn into hard rock jazz he has regularly been the most important guitarist we have in our catalogue and we awaited his next moves with baited breath. This is no exception and is Beck in his prime. My brother when he was alive worshipped Jeff Beck and introduced me to the jazz fusion work and once more it took my breath away!
This band is so tight it sounds at time like an orchestra and there is only four of them. This is the music Jimi Hendrix would have listed to and aspired to had he lived.
The voice over is not as bad as I expected but it does cloy and clash to stop the bootleggers, It is recorded so well athht after a while for this listener it doesn't even matter. Peerless stuff
