Ian Dury 'Hallo Sausages!' - Jemima Dury

 THE GUVNOR!

This weekend I are bin mostly reading 'Hallo Sausages!' compiled by Jemima Dury - a most sterling work on her Dad's lyrics and history. It's a little Jem (geddit!)

I was listening to the wonderful set from The New JDP all weekend of Ian and The Blockheads on BBC Radio Richard Skinner show 'Rock Hour' LWL's Broadcast Week of April 12, 1981. I was listening to 'Seuperman's Big Sister' and 'Dance of The Crackpots'  and marvelling at the lyrics as the 'Laughter' album and thereabouts were amongst Ian most prolific and complex endeavours - give it a listen and you'll see what I mean (here, hear)

Just a note as it seems to be about out of print now but if you can find it it's worth over 80 squid now! Worth a shekel. My children bought it for me one Christmas! Bless . . . . . . . lil diamonds each n proper
