Lizzy Mercier Descloux ‎– Mambo Nassau : Zerosounds

"All these songs have a Massai walk, white trash shadow, a samourai heart and the smile of King Kong."

Chris Burkham for Sounds Magazine, September 1981

Again from Zerosounds another beauty and interesting selection of ROIO from the enigmatic Lizzy Mercier Descloux and her Mambo Nassau with its reference and parallel with Talking Heads and David Byrne's work with Wally Badarou synth genius down in Compass Point, Nassau. As Zero G points out whether the two influenced each other is a moot point but that there IS a stylistic link is inescapable in our shared opinion.  Produced by Michel Esteban and with contributions from as varied as Green Gartside (Scritti Politti) and Aswad drummer Drummie Zeb

Lizzy Mercier Descloux - Mambo Nassau - Zero G

* note - though only published in 1981 and remastered since for CD this is seemingly out of print and not available anywhere I could find. If you know otherwise and are acting on behalf of Lizzy and her label Ze then please let me know otherwise and I will remove it
