Gillian Welch :: The Aquarium Drunkard Interview

Lovely interesting interview with Gillian Welch over at 'Aquarium Drunkard' this morning and she is just endlessly fascinating to me. That deep Americana weirdness and who should pop up here but the master Mr T-Bone Burnett. Everything she plays makes my ears prick up, with the songs haunting high and lonesome sound and the titles and overheard snippets of lyrics makes me ask "what IS she singing about?" With her partner David Rawlings, whose own solo work is a treat, they celebrate all that is interesting in American Folk Music to these ears
