Various Artists - Steam Ballads (Broadside, BRO 121 : 1977) : Zero G Sounds

 Couple of interesting posts this morning from around the blogosphere!

This for the Old Folkies amongst you and one of interest for me with my roots in the North and current abode in Oxfordshire so didn’t know the song!

Harry Boardman is a legend oop North largely for his work with The Oldham Tinkers (see track 5) but didn’t know the others I am ashamed to say



As Zero G says

"Steam Ballads" was an album released on the Broadside label way back in 1977. This album features mostly 19th century railroad ballads and songs, performed by Harry Boardman, Jon Raven, Tony Rose and Kempion
