My new album "Who Is The Sky?" is out today! I’m thrilled with the way this record turned out. I’ll keep a lid on my excitement...
What are the songs about? I’ll leave the analysis to others—but they seem to fall into a few buckets: story songs, love songs (some hidden), and celebratory songs. There’s overlap in the categories, but those seem to be the main ones.
I worked with a few collaborators on this record, including Kid Harpoon who produced it, and Ghost Train Orchestra, who helped with arrangements and acted as "my band" for the record. Spike Stent mixed the record, and Emily Lazar mastered it. I worked with Shira Inbar who designed the record cover & packaging. She suggested we use Tom Van Der Borght's spiky and tubular outfits (as seen on the album cover). Ahmed Klink was the photographer.
I hope everyone enjoys the album as much as I did in making it. See you on tour this fall.
