Miss Ludella Black: Till You Lie In Your Grave 2018
Real Name: Sarah J. Crouch. Ludella Black was an original member of legendary Medway garage band The Delmonas, after which she became a Headcoatee along with her friends Holly Golightly*, Kyra Rubella and ‘Bongo’ Debbie. Since the demise of Thee Headcoatees in 1999 she has released two solo albums on Damaged Goods (She’s Out There (2000) and From This Witness Stand (2008)), and plays live with The Masonics regularly and has appeared on loads of singles and albums with them too.
A track from her first DG album called ‘He’s Not There’ appeared in the hit film JUNO in 2007. Her second album, another classic, From This Witness Stand, featured 14 tracks recorded over summer 2008 in Spain, backed by The Masonics ( Micky Hampshire (Milkshakes)Bruce Brand (Milkshakes / Headcoatees / Holly Golightly /Dutronc) and John Gibbs (Wildebeests / Holly Golightly).
