THE BEAT FARMERS 85-87
Sealy popped by and dropped this one on me . . . . . he says:
The Beat Farmers Universal Studios ‘85
The original line up with Buddy Blue playing their own stuff on the first album and a few choice covers. So many favourites...... "Gun Sale at The Church".... very prescient of the way things have gone.
I wasn't sure about an entire set but heck check ‘em out and makes yer own mind up . . . . . . if the Sealymaestro says it’s worth a listen . . . . whatcha gonna do!? But this next one rocked my lil flannel socks right off’n mah feets!
"The absolutely outstanding "Hollywood Hills" with Jerry Raney in for Buddy Blue. I saw this line up at a club in Manchester. Honestly about 20 people in the joint and these guys absolutely blasted the place. One of THE best gigs I've ever seen. Chatting with the guys and sharing a beer when they'd finished.Brings a tear watching this again.” Sealyman
THE BEAT FARMERS - - HOLLYWOOD HILLS 1987
The best band ever according to the poster and - The Beat Farmers classic line-up with Country Dick Montana and Joey Harris and Jerry Raney and Rollie Love.

Well thanks a million for all this Beat Farmer publicity! I first heard them in 1985 on a sampler that came with the NME one week! The track was a souped up slide guitar driven cover of Brooooce's "Reason to Believe"....what's not to like. The early releases included great covers of Neil Young and The Velvet Underground....I'm still hooked.
Welcome Sealyman! I liked the Hollywood Hills track . . . a lot . . . . .will track down more . . . . laters 🥔🥔🥔
