Pink Floyd - Fearless [Meddle] . . . . for Diamond Dave

Diamond Dave (he’s a diamond!) dropped by to say he enjoyed the Low version of Fearless shared the other day via Tripping Mantras and said while he liked it, it wasn’t as good as the original and this gave me an opportunity to share this and say that I I agree and remember that I think it was Meddle that was my last purchase of work by the Floyd and  didn’t care for Dark Side at all . . . . nor the Roger inspired songs of The Wall which I found juvenile and badly written  . . . . . hence the split and I guess my side was to take up with Dave Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason and rather than the ludicrously simplistic schoolboy nonsense from our Rog but hey . . . . . I am aware this has been and still is a contentious issue but I remain in my staunch position quite fearless . . . . . . . (geddit)?

Fearless - Pink Floyd [Meddle]

Low - Fearless ( Us & Them - a delicate saucerful full of Pink Floyd covers)

so you pays your money and you takes your choice . . . . . . .of that’s right we don’t pay do we?
. . . and of course I associate it with my home town

"Fearless"

You say the hill's too steep to climb
Chiding
You say you'd like to see me try
Climbing

You pick the place and I'll choose the time

And I will climb that hill in my own way
Just wait a while for the right day
And as I rise above the tree line and the clouds
I look down, hearing the sound of the things you've said today

Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd
Smiling
Merciless the magistrate turns 'round
Frowning

And who's the fool who wears the crown?

And go down in your own way
And every day is the right day
And as you rise above the fear-lines in his brow
You look down, hearing the sound of the faces in the crowd

Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Liverpool! Liverpool!
