It’s a DIAMOND DAVE SPECIAL! DANCECLASS!

On The Decks . . . why you should go to the Bookstore . . . . . .no really

Dave says so . . . .  and he’s a DIAMOND!

The fantastic  Danceclass  - on The Tube  (Jan 1983 , Series 1 Episode 12)

At the end I've added 2 live recordings of varying lo-fi quality. Not sure about what the first one was from, but the second is a Radio 1 in concert session around this time.

(Many thanks to youtuber  Lol-Z who is uploading a ton of old The Tube shows from the  80s, which this has mainly come from.
See his stuff on:    / davisxl1  )

From their website:
After an untold amount of live work in their native North East of England, they were finally snapped up by A&M RECORDS in 1981 and the DANCECLASS album was recorded and released in 1982. Produced by Mike Chapman, the album failed to capture the raw energy of their live sound but there is no getting away from the fact that these were indeed brilliantly crafted songs for their genre. Penned by Dave Taggart and Tony Mcananey with additional material by Ali Reay, the DANCECLASS repetoire of highly energetic and often humurous powertunes have stood the test of time
