The Piccadillys - Rock ’N’ Roll (Led Zeppelin cover!)
The New Piccadillys "Introducing... The New Piccadillys" 2014
Four piece beat group from Glasgow, Scotland combining a 1960s sound with a 1970s punk rock sensibility. Twanging guitars and pounding drums provide the backing for their tight harmony beat versions of classics such as The Ramones’ Judy is a Punk and many other Rock ‘n’ Roll treasures from various eras.

The long-awaited debut album from the beat-punk sensation is released on SOUNDFLAT – a fabulous Merseybeat homage to punk rock and R&B classics! The Glasgow quartet, boasting a star-studded lineup including members of the Kaisers, Thanes, Poets, and Scottish Sex Pistols, has amassed a considerable following over the past few years with their rapidly selling hit single 'Judy Is A Punk', which Ramones producer Ed Stasium hailed as the best cover version ever, and their electrifying live shows across Europe. Now, the album is finally here – packed with hit after hit! The Scots take on cool punk rock and R&B classics, retaining their raw energy but reinterpreting them in true Merseybeat style with sharp guitars and goosebump-inducing harmonies. 'Introducing.' Containing a superb selection of classic cover versions from The Clash, Dickies, and Kinks to Jimi Hendrix, this CD is highly varied yet consistently maintains its sophisticated style. The band's reputation has even reached Japan, where the CD is a co-production with the Majestic label. As always with Soundflat, the retro artwork is outstanding (referencing the TV series 'Thunderbirds'). A must-have for all 60s beat and garage music fanatics!
